So...the bane of my existance as of around the last month is finally over and done with. For those that are clueless, I'm referring to my utterly stupid and useless alien registration card that I was required to get. As to why it had been my bane, the office is around 2.5 hours travel (one way) from my apartment and I had to go there 5 times total before finally being able to get in and finish things. 3 of the times I did the long travel, they were closed when I arrived and finally last weekend I couldn't take any more. They kept telling me different office hours that never ended up correct and the straw that broke things was that last weekend nobody bothered to tell me it was a national holiday where all the offices closed. I was about ready to ball after yet again wasting another day off for that crap. I went into talk to my boss on Mon. and basically asked him to paaaaalease help me. I obviously wasn't gonna be able to do it myself. He drove me in today and instead of 2.5 hours between 2 buses, walking and 2 subway transfers, his car only took an hour and a half. We were in and out of there in around 2 hours. He then bought me lunch after another 1.5 hours back to Uijeoungbu and I went home with my passport and that dumb card in hand. I'll probably never even have to use the damn thing.....
I actually have to get up early (ok...early for me) tomorrow. We're taking a trip with all the afternoon elementary classes to "Seoul Land", an amusement park. I've never been there, but I'm sure it'll be a noteworthy experience with around 35 kids and 5 adults. The good news is we're not going on rides. I've been told we're just going to see some shows of some sort. Nadiya and Matt aren't going, but at least I'll have Joe with me to keep me company with all the hyperactive kids. I'm gonna try to take a bunch of pictures.
